Z1: Clarion CMD6 to M608

I have a 2013 Z1 and am looking to upgrade my Clarion CMD6 to the M608. Would it be a simple plug-in-play?

I would not call it PnP as I like to splice in the new harness. Also note, the mounting screw holes are not the same. I know for sure that the CMD8 has the newer 8-pin remote cables, but I cannot confirm that the CMD6 has the new 8-pin or the older 6-pin like the CMD5. Easy to check though. Find the wired remote connector behind the head or a remote, unplug and count.
