Mine started wigging out this year too. I checked for fuses or loose wires. Try unplugging the remote from the head unit and then plugging it back. Maybe it will reset. I tried it several times and finally got mine working again. Not sure how long that will work before I need to replace the remote or the head unit.
Let me know what works for you.

As noted, check the "Y" cable connection in the back of the head unit. If that seems to be fully seated, then unplug either one of the remotes (at the "Y") and see if the other begins to work. If not, reinstall the unplugged one and unplug the other and check again. Reason being is that a bad remote can cause both to not work because, in a sense, they are wired in parallel.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

ok, thanks for the help. i noticed this summer that the rear remotes display screen stopped funtioning but the buttons still worked. now this problem. i've tried to disconnect the fittings at the "y" but not the problem. the rear of the head unit looks as if it doesn't have a connection that unplugs but just wires going into the back. does tige sell new remotes? best place to take it in "tige"? or "car toys"?

If neither remote worked correctly with the other unplugged, then the problem is either the "Y" cable or the head-unit. Remove the "Y" cable and plug one of the remotes (try the driver's remote) directly into the head-unit. The wired remote plug is a 6" black lead coming out of the rear of the head-unit with a round black connector. So look through the bundle of wires about 6" from the head-unit, you will see where the "Y" cable plugs into the head-unit lead. The leads on the "Y" are about 6" as well.Originally posted by goffriers View Postok, thanks for the help. i noticed this summer that the rear remotes display screen stopped funtioning but the buttons still worked. now this problem. i've tried to disconnect the fittings at the "y" but not the problem. the rear of the head unit looks as if it doesn't have a connection that unplugs but just wires going into the back. does tige sell new remotes? best place to take it in "tige"? or "car toys"?
I had a head-unit in my hand 2 hrs ago and could have taken pics.
