Sorry, I haven't been on here. I've had 6 houses breaking ground and 3 getting ready to close all at the same time, so been REALLY REALLY busy.
But on a related note.... dom your gonna love this.
Bradford, Gresham, McCoy, and Williams are ALL RETURNING next year. Yay us!Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

Texas is getting a QB next year who's got a cannon for an arm and holds pretty much every record there is. He's coming off back-to-back state titles. To think he once backed up Todd Reesing...it's gonna get real interesting.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

After watching the Under Armour challenge and the game, I was not impressed with the TX recruit for QB at all. Who I was impressed with was the USC recruit. That kid is a stud, and is as accurate as anyone around at that age. Which is probably why the TX recruit's stock fell big time and the USC bound kid jumped from #5 to #1 in the ESPN 150. I think the TX kid fell from #1 to #11. So he could end up as a flop. OU has had their fair share of "Cannon's for arms" and top 5 ranked QB's come in that don't even get to step on the field and end up transferring (Kid Nichol, Brent Rawls, etc. etc.) I always like it when you get that kid that flies under the radar and turn out to be stars! (think Josh Heupel, Sam Bradford) I have a feeling TX has a kid that's already in their back-up's that will end up as the starting QB.Originally posted by dogbert View PostTexas is getting a QB next year who's got a cannon for an arm and holds pretty much every record there is. But you could be right Dom.... you know how Mack likes to run 2 QB's.
Doubtful that they'll do it though. Since McCoy is a senior, they'll just red shirt that kid and let him gain size and learn the system.
I don't know if I've gone so far as to say Landry is better than Bradford, but he is pretty good. I'm glad he'll get a year as a back-up instead of being thrown directly into the mix this year.
I think he was the #2 quarterback in the country at the time, so he def. has potential. The question is whats gonna happen w/ Jeremy Calhoun who was the #1 running back in the country from the same class as Landry. We're so loaded at running back next year, I wonder if he'll see any play time.Last edited by Tanner; 01-15-2009, 11:37 PM.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... Corp, Mustain, Green, and Barkley. Sanchez won't be missed nearly as much as people think. I don't think that he was quite ready to make the jump. I think that he was lacking in his progressions and didn't always make the right decisions.Originally posted by Domsz06 View PostSanchez and Harvin are going to the pro's, USC is screwed this year, YEAH!!
sorry SC fans had to say it. I know you will be fine, but give me a little hope. I still love you Lovin!!

Taylor Mays is staying, and I feel that he is NFL ready. So if I had to choose between the two, I would rather have Mays stay than Sanchez.
Besides that, with all of the defense that we are losing, that will make a bigger difference than Sanchez going.
