1979 Ford Mustang, Automatic Trans, 4 banger

Turd Brown, with a lighter turd brown accent stripe
Gray Primer Hatchback lid (which I never painted)

Mine was a 53 international P/U. Was green, painted it fire engine red with lead based paint Great grandfather bought it new. Still used lead gas, so had to buy the additive. I couldn't since I was under 18, so dad always had to buy it(Thanks wal-mart) No turn signals, cracked exhaust manifold, had to find a new one, still had an exhaust leak, so always smelled after driving it

'72 Chevy K10. Standard cab shortbed. 327 w/202 heads and a quadrasuck. Turbo 350 w/ shift kit. 12 bolt posi. 2 1/2" lift w/ 33x12.50x15 BFG's. Snug top camper shell with the carpet kit in da back. Nicknamed the Stabin' Cabin'.

I still have it, although it has seen better days. My wife and I had our first date in it (the Drive In ). I'm hoping to get all the body work and mechanicals redone this year.

2'x1' 1/2" plywood sheet covering hole in floor under drivers feet

Shoehorned a 351c into it w/ Dougnash 5 speed and Globalwest suspension.
Painted the plywood to match the carpet Great place to ditch cig butts when it was raining. instead of having the window down, just lift the plywood and drop them out.

1971 VW Super Beetle w/ semi-automatic transmission and studded snow tires (illegal in my home state of NY, but widely used in Vermont where I went to school). Factory AM radio with cassette stereo added by me (it actually sounded pretty good because the rear side panels where I mounted the speakers were made of real wood).

It was a little out of place at my college, where most kids drove brand new (expensive) foreign cars...but mine always started in the dead of winter and *ALWAYS* made it over the mountain pass when we went skiing.

It wasn't a big deal for me. My wheels got me where I was going and always worked. While not luxurious, it was a simply designed car that ran forever.

First Car
66 Mustang, 289 with auto trans, turquoise.
Was Mom's car, that was until I put the headers, 4-barrel and tricked out the trans to chirp 2nd. Mom then got her own car, and made me pay bluebook for the stang. Great car.

My first POS was a 79 Honda Prelude. Bought it for $900. Nice things it had was a sun roof and AC. Was running the sweet sheep skin seat covers because the seats were beat to $h*t. It lasted about 5 years before it lost a cylinder and I bought a bare bones Mazda B2200 (no AC).

Ha, I traded my 'Stang (it didn't deserve the moniker) for a Mazda B2000, long bed (rusted up badly)

1995 Dodge Neon


SOMETIMES I actually miss that car; most of the times I don't. I used to beat the living crap out of that car with 5000rpm clutch drops, etc and never really had a problem. Doing all that it still used to get nearly 30mpg. Gas used to be .99 a gallon in 1999 and it was an 11 gallon tank so it used to cost me nothing to drive that car.

EDIT: Almost forgot. Double limo tint too, man I was ballin'.

1989 volkswagon Jetta 4dr stick car was sliver with tent peeling off the windows...I learned to drive on an old back road by horseshoe lake I ended up braking the clutch and have been driving my dads 1988 ford Tempo by the river and and back roads not really on city street unless im rolling the car up to make room on the street or puting it in the driveway.

And to this day i never known what happened to that car, it was left at my moms house and when she past away i guess the car went away too.

I sorta hated this car that my parents brought home for me (money came out of my pocket) because all my friends had chevrolets with V8's. I'd give my left nut for it now. My oldest son's first car which he still has is a 65 fastback Mustang. His senior high school project was a complete engine and body rebuild. It's red w/white stripes. My youngest son's first was a 64 Falcon. I now have that and it's MY daily driver! I'll post a pic. later
