Zad don't let others decide what you want to do. If you like hanging with us boat fans, then hang with us. There are all sorts of people you will meet in life, some get along and some don't. Keep posts going for conversation, not post count. If you need to move a conversation to off topic section, just change local of convo good buddy. If people on here are looking for information as gospel truths on how to's then I think they misunderstand what some of our backgrounds are. I'm a dumb carpenter, so maybe if we go back to wood boats, my opinion would be worth something until then it's just that, my opinion. I think there are some guys that have some background and it is worth listening to what they have to say. If you are looking for information and others are trying to raise post count it can be frustrating, but not that big a deal. Good luck on your endeavors.

zad just do like i do and find some classes at school where you can jump on the computer and pretend like your doing school work, for example im in a tech lab class right now that is full of computers here i am. this will keep you free from spending so much time on at home and limit the amount of HOURS AT A TIME you seem to spend on here. it works out pretty well for me. makes the day go by a little faster.

Matt, if you would sh$t can keeping track of the number of threads that each of us posts then I believe it would end all this meaningless poop flowing out of our keyboards.

I am a member of Woodalls Open Roads Forum which covers all camping questions and they don't track the number of posts that the members post or allow any garbage posts.

I hope you really consider my request.

I do not get that but I do like your idea about no post counts but I think they can stay so that people can tell whos been around for a while.

I think that Treads that are about nothing but BS or what ever is on the poster's minds are a good thing to have in a forum and Matt has them where they need to be.......in "Off Topic".

Post count only matters if it matters to you. We don't recieve yearly bonuses, or raises, or promotions from our post count. So big deal if someone wants to raise there poast count by meaningless rembles about nothing.

I also think the issue here is not post count or BS treads. It's about the steering a tread off topic with endless chatter. I think Both Zad an Wannabe are bright, mature, and polite young men. I Think that all they needed was to be respectfuly ask to watch thier off topic discussions in the middle of somebody's thread. This has been done, case closed.

On to my "soap box": I think it was very immature and childish on thier part, how a couple of members made Zad feel that he was unwanted on this board. I'm not just talking about some posts in other threads that were "hi-jacked" but the 2 or 3 in this tread when Zad posted his apology and said he was leaving. I think you guys owe Zad an apology and you could even do it through PM so you can "save face"

Matt, I dont think you need to be a "hall moniter" here. I think we as members need to just police ourselves. Please don't change the format of this Forum.
