havent messed with wiring except moved the alternator wire off the starter and to an isolator

Go to the key switch and check for power, if not there start tracing back from Battery you,ll find it

cant find anything on the starter but I havent gotten that far. boat doesn nothing when I put it in the on position

what color wires do I check for power on the key switch???

Find a ground and check them all one will have battery power for accessories and there probably be another for your starter. But you are just looking for anything right now
