I have promised to never get a street bike. Sean's experience has only buttressed my resolve not to go back on the promise, despite the occasional desire.

I had street bikes in my younger days. Too many close calls and seeing friends go down by non attentive drivers, It is worse today in my opinion. Gave up the street bikes long ago for the dirt. Then gave up the dirt bikes for the more comfortable side x sides.
