You start with a volt meter.....

Like... uhh idk... cuz I was looking up the wattage on my amp but it depends on how many ohms, and the speakers I think are 4... so uhhh I dont really know..

I absolutely love the idea though... Ther eis a touch of a rash from where my normal bumpers rub the side of the boat. Not scuffing, just less shiny. The hippity hops will prevent that, or should...

You really cannot "figure out" the ohms of your stereo. Then engineers did that when they built it. Hopefully you can find something written on teh stereo that will tell you their recommended load impedance.

Then on the speakers, you can actually measure them. USe a volt /ohm meter, AKA a DMM, (digital multi-meter) set to oms or resistance and measure it. You jsut connect the meter to the speaker terminals. Tehre is no polarity associated, so you cannot get it backwards.

I agree.. the bigger the bumpers the safer the boat will be... I found it a little odd that someone would use them but then I thought about it and it's a great idea....
