Hey chpthril tried your experiment with the spring valve but I could not get the pump to prime. So I took back my spring valves and got swings .

Thanks for the info it saved me a lot of time and frustration by switching them

Where you pushing through the valve on the outlet of the pump, or pulling through it on the inlet?

Pushing, when I primed it it worked but no prime no work ?

Those pumps dont work unless they are well into the water.

I did find out that I only have about 2500 RMS in the boat. But, I can always add more.
