Didn't get that far in regards to the engine. Still have a little more to do regarding the Fogging of the engine and draining the entire water. I have to take the boat into the shop in January so the oil change can wait until then. Just trying to make sure that the block doesn't crack is my #1 priority for this week. The temp isn't going to get close to freezing but didn't want to take any chances.

We do not use 90wt hypoid in the motor.....
As for the boat, I am engine ignorant on any type of engine. I just don't understand it. But, I did find it interesting that the drain plugs on my boat are not blue.... They are the same color as the engine.

You are telling me. This is the first year that I personally did the draining of the water from the engine. From this website, everyone was talking about blue plugs and when I am in the engine area, I don't find any blue blugs but did find where the tempurature is taken and took a chance on releasing that plug....Originally posted by Domsz06 View Postwow same color, that blows

But, I still need to take the shop vac after the holes to suck out all the water and then to unscrew all the hoses where the water comes into the engine and get ride of the water from them. Just not going to do the oil change until January when the dealer will do the oil, impeller, and the fiberglass repairs. They will probably have the boat for 2 months but the boat will be ready before next boarding season.
Okay, maybe they will not get the boat until I can get the ballast system in then.

Did you remove the knock sensor (single blue wire) on the starboard side of block? that is the water drain for that side. Other than that, the only hose I undo is at the trans cooler. That drains the cooler and the impeller housing.Originally posted by da.bell View PostBut, I still need to take the shop vac after the holes to suck out all the water and then to unscrew all the hoses where the water comes into the engine and get ride of the water from them. Yes, I did both sides of the motor but will do the trans cooler. Okay stupid question then.... Where is that plug???? I don't care about color since the blue plugs that were suppost to be blue were actually gray....Originally posted by chpthril View PostDid you remove the knock sensor (single blue wire) on the starboard side of block? that is the water drain for that side.
