That's pretty much how I explained how it was done. The M/C manifold is nothing more then a 1 way valve that diverts the reverse water flow, when in "drain" mode, to a thru-hull drain and not back out the intake scoop. This stops the unwanted back-flow.

1 large checkvalve, 6 T's, and a few feet of hose, and you got it licked.

And that is why MC drains thru the side and not back thru the thru hull. They are higher than the sacs and the bags stay full.

No, air will rise to the highest part of the system (in this case the pumps) and a potential vapor lock could occur.

Actually these pumps will suck out the air. It still seams easier to put check valve on the vent and fill drain from top of bag and leave pump where it is
