Just Closed on my First House!!

Its official, after a year and half of trying to get into the housing market, we finally closed on our first home, and its in Discovery Bay, CA! I can't afford the nice water front homes, but the house has a deeded dock a mere 5 houses away with a hydrohoist already!! We are doing a rent back through July, but we should be moving in just in time to enjoy the Indian summer down in the Delta ! It will be sad not skiing out of Walnut Grove (I love Wimpy's and New Hope) and the big oak trees on the levees (not too good for stability though), but not having to tow our boat will be very very nice!

Here's a shot from when we viewed it last.

Wow, it looks like a beautiful place. Let's hope this is the bottom of the housing market.

Wow, nicely done - starting off with a bang being able to walk to your boat. I have to drive an hour and a half to get to the closest water

Wimpy's and New Hope is my HOME!

Except once I get my houseboat I'll be at Walnut Grove marina instead, but their launch ramp SUCKS.

                            Congrats on Disco Bay!
                            Waiting for another good one!
