I grew up in Encino. San Fernando Valley. As a kid the lake was not too cold in the middle of the summer but spring and fall it was. And my dad was one who had to be up and on the water at 7:00. It was always cold then. Lake Arrowhead got crowded by 11:00 and it is a small lake and rough.
