I'm in Hawaii every 6 weeks so if I have the ocean bug it would be there. I enjoy surfing behind the boat much more though.

Best time of the year if you want waves. Mellow 4 to 6 foot waves off Diamond head are nice or knee highs off Waikiki and obviously north shore has the big ones. Pipeline is not that intimidating on a mellow day.

There's several spots off the Oregon coast that are suppose to be great (with a wetsuit)

I'm a Big Island guy, only been to Oahu once. I watched surfers @ North Shore, but surf was rockin, airtime advanced for my skill level!

we wear wet suits pretty much year round here.4/3 until may at least.my sons are just stoked about not having to"suit up" there.
