My personal opinion is that this affair is not a threat to national security, although I guess some top secret documents were found on Paula's computer I think?
Either way - the media is welcome to carry on with the story but why are tax dollars being spent on determining who's snatch got stuffed and who's didn't?

I agree that an affair itself is not a huge deal. Those in the military should be dealt with in accordance to the MCC. BUT and i mean BUT, we are talking about the head of the CIA and the commander in Afghanistan who had secret emails with these women. This Broadwell woman has spent a lot of time with Petraeus. There is a risk of a security breach that needs to be investigated.

What also worries me is the fact that this was all supposedly withheld from the Pres. If I was him, I would be kicking to the curb the people that decided to not tell me that my head of the CIA was was romantically involved with the author of his book, who is also in the military and had some security clearance. and was linked to an FBI stalking probe that also involved my chief of the Afghanistan.

For this reason, I do not believe Obama was not told of this as it was unfolding. I feel he has been given plausible-deniability till after the election. For the past two years, the ones running this country has been Obama's campaign staff, not the Administration.

Mike, I agree also to that extent and I said that as well. Paula did have top secret documents, and had a lot of top secret involvement so with that in mind, something should be investigated I suppose.
Of course all the media WOULD know is the soap opera part and they wouldn't be privvy to the top secret part the investigation so maybe all is okay with what is going on.
