I did the drop light in the engine compartment on my last boat...it didn't work out so well for me...new motor the next season.Originally posted by bryce2320 View PostI'm kinda hoping I can get a heat cord and wrap the motor and plug it in and keep the engine cover down to keep it warm enough to go out in a wet or dry suit when its does "warm up" in october thru November. Idk how well that would work for the shower but I think it would be fine...? Any opinions. Definately dont want to take a chance of cracking the block

No im not sure. I know the heater its self is up under the helm and has 2 hoses going to it and I think its antifreeze in there. Yes, I could definately cover it and put some sort of heater in there and thermostat it at like 70 degrees or something of that sortOriginally posted by skippabcool View PostDo you know where the heater core is located?Ain't no 1/2 steppin'

I've been running no weight in the front, custom sac full, 400 on the opposite side rear and 155lb fat brick on the rear seat corner surf side.Originally posted by skippabcool View PostDo you get the wash from the opposite side or does the 400# on the back help with that? Can't recall, is that the back rear or back side? What should I cut the front down to?

Would an actual heater be good enough
I personally wouldn't. I've learned my lesson, and am having the dealer winterize it, plus I'm storing it at an enclosed, heated warehouse for the winter. If I had the garage depth, it would be stored at my place, but I'm not that fortunate. I thought I would also use my last boat into the winter, but never had the daylight to really make it happen.
