Why didnt they just clear them while you where there? Should have told them you lost the cap then replaced it a few days before.

I told him I was almost positive that it's not the cap because I had just replaced it.

It probably was the missing cap, as is in 99% of the time, but the code now needs to be cleared from the memory.
