So, I just got my union dues refund for the year. It was a nice unexpected surprise. Well expected just forgotten about.
(I have to send them a CERTIFIED letter every year that I object to the partisan political portion of my dues - if it's not certified it magically gets lost in the mail)
So should I buy the surf edition GoPro Hero2 with the wifi pack, or should I put that money towards a proper Canon 7D?

I know nothing about cameras but I'm loving some of the video editing I've been doing. Would love to put together 1 minute videos, etc. I see a lot of folks using these 7D's for that kind of thing too.

I have not used the video to much, I shoot mostly still photography. What I have done looks fantastic. I will be doing much more video at Powell in 3 weeks.

I was just looking at Canon's website and their PRO HD camcorders are only 2.07 megapixel where the 7D is 19.0

WTF? Am I putting too much emphasis on megapixels?

If the manual for the MP340 says max RPM's at 4600 but the boat will go past is that bad for the motor? I never need that much but curious.

I need to double check mine, maybe it is only 4600. Iwndr if there is a rev limiter on them. Most computer controlled engines don't let them over rev.
