I guess I never really understood the whole tower speaker thing.. Is the sound for the skier?
If so, even the best Horn Driver sounds like a tinny microphone at a bingo hall. If it's for the boat, then they should be pointing straight down.
For the 2 grand it costs for good tower speakers, I can build a 500HP 454 short block for the flatbottom....

Best wakeboarding setup I have heard is my buddy's Epic with 8 JL 7.7" across the transom. If you read teh internets, that's not possible.

Best I have heard are 6 XM-9's with two of those underpowered Exile Harpoon amps. Good thing they didn't have the advertised power ratings

I'm really glad I saw Phil's comment the other day. I was a fellow member of the sheep people for a moment when I bought my Axis. I thought I wanted to take everything out and install Wetsounds...

I don't need to blow that money. This factory setup rocks more than I will ever need it to...

Even if it was true it wouldn't matter as good as it sounds. I ran my whole (advertised) 3300 watts off of 1 group 24 last summer.

Thats a good way to look at it. Most of the guys that have the big systems just sit and play the music anyway. My boat starts when it hits the lake and stops when it comes off.
