The Metcrap tower sucks. That's for sure. But in '99 who had a solid tower? No manufacturer came with a good tower, that's why my friend made so much money building towers. He was BOSS Towers.

I agree, I added a tower to my Bayliner in 2006/7, before that it was tow ring on the transom.

Didnt the tige's back then still have wood stringers? Thought I heard that about them too. Considering I hadn't ridden behind a Tige until our demo I am in no way saying they suck. Just maybe rickety.

I think the wood stringers from back then have had no problems. They are encased in fiberglass (I think) and I'm not aware of any with rot issues, at least not if the owner takes care of their boat at all. In fact, some people think they gave the boat a better and more solid feel.

I'm always down for a quickie. I'll be getting into town on the 11th. I'll be available for dinner and beers at night pretty much the whole time I'm there, especailly for the first weekend (14-15) but those are working days, so I can't ditch and head to the lake that weekend, I go home on the 28th.
