Sounds like a good idea, I'll try this out on my boat when I get around to it.Originally posted by skippabcool View PostI just tested a couple. If I take the red wire off the S terminal the stereo does not power on. If I take the yellow with red stripe off of the A terminal it still works.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

It's just so you don't need the key on or in accessory to run the stereo, he's running the power supply to the head unit to an accessory switch.Originally posted by majestic View PostWhy does this need to be done? Should I be doing this?2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

Yep, that way when you power off (changing boarder, etc..) you don't lose the stereo. Even if you flip from on to acc with the key the amps power off and on.Originally posted by Ewok View PostIt's just so you don't need the key on or in accessory to run the stereo, he's running the power supply to the head unit to an accessory switch.

I guess losing the music for a couple of seconds has never bothered me. We usually start the boat when it goes in the lake and shut it down when it goes on the trailer.Originally posted by skippabcool View PostYep, that way when you power off (changing boarder, etc..) you don't lose the stereo.
