Thanks, maj. Yeah, there is always that little bit of concern in the back of your head...what if??? It would be a bit of a bummer to go in to fix your eyes and come out with your vision ruined.

Any surgery is concerning but I gotta believe they have this down by now. Hope you didn't shop best deal or get the new guy

No, I went with a very experienced surgeon who has a very good reputation among the doctors my wife works with. I visited a couple that were recommended, and this guy seemed much more ready with answers to my questions.

Funny thing, as I was going through the initial consults, there was a Groupon deal offering lasik for something like 60% off regular price (whatever made up number that might be) for some practice I had never heard of. Hmmmm...not really the type of thing that I want to find the cheapest charlie in town to do.
