Yup, looking at the short or regular Expy, not the EL. It's my wife's daily driver and she doesn't want to lugg around the extra length. With just us 4 traveling we won't use the third row, with family in town or heading to the lake with friends we will use the third row. I put all the coolers and gear in the boat when we go to the lake so we don't need the extra room as a daily driver.Originally posted by skippabcool View PostI wondered if you were looking at the shorter Expy.
For me I think I ruled them all out except for the longer Expy and the Denali XL or the cousins Navigator L and Cadillac ESV. I not only need the seating but somewhere to put stuff if we travel. It seemed that there are several vehicles that can handle 6+ but not 6+ and bags. Unless you do a roof rack.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

The regular Expy is fine for four and a occasional 6-7 we had 1-2 row buckets and a split bench for the third rowOriginally posted by Ewok View PostYup, looking at the short or regular Expy, not the EL. We are still in a holding pattern as well. We felt the Tahoe had too wimpy of a motor, the Sequoia was too expensive for what it was, the Audi Q7 was our favorite so far but I have been hearing towing a boat with it it will go through brakes quick. I am excited to see what ford does with the Expedition. I would love to see the Ecoboost in it but if they drop the 5.0 in I'm sold. I was happy with the 5.0 F-150 I drove which I also drove it back to back with the ecoboost.Originally posted by Ewok View PostThe vehicle search is just about complete. With the inlaws in town I took my wife around to test drive the Tahoe, Armada, Durango and Expedition. We liked the expedition best but now we are waiting to see if it will get the Ecoboost. The dealer here gives it a 50/50 chance at either the Ecoboost or the 5.0 V8 from the F-150. I just dropped the inlaws off at the airport so we will be fine with the 4runner until the spring when they come back.
