Interesting... my maintenance manual says my PCM transmission should have its Dexron III fluid changed every 50 hours, just like the engine oil.

The v-drive is considered permanently lubricated, unless contamination is found.

Not arguing, just relating different data.

Hmmm...just looked at my manual. He's right. In my defense , it does show that the v-drive fluid is to be changed annually...but then in the footnote, it states that is only for other brands of v-drive, and the PCM manufactured unit should only be checked for proper level and contamination.

I looked at the Durango, it has 3 rows of seats, its 10" longer than the 4runner and tows a few hundred more lbs too.
