I have wondered if I will hit a spot that I will switch to doing mostly one thing.

Right now I like doing both, surfing and boarding. Plus my brother and I like to try and one up the other so I have to improve my boarding skills.

I'm competitive with my brother too. I messed up my back a few years ago on the wakeboard so I've dialed back my riding there.

if you add too much ballast you might need a prop too

I like the promise of the OJ 5 blade prop. I had a 5 blade SS on my I/O, great hole-shot, it did dial back the top end 2-3 mph.

I would like to have more time with the 5 blade, the guy that bought my boat is liking it so far. I reminds me a lot of the 1235, but way less RPM's.

How much ballast? I've got the stock prop, running at 2,400' pressure altitude and I haven't had any problems yet.

I have open toe now but my next pair will be closed toe, to keep the feet a little warmer.
