The Shure will be smaller. Myself I like the over the ear for traveling. My ears start to hurt after a while with the inner ear. However, I have not tried any of the new ones. To me after comfort is that they are noise cancelling. Headphones are one of the few items that I have found that spending several hundred dollars was well worth it. It also depends on how much you travel. I also like earphones that have a separate cable, one that disconnects from the earphones.Originally posted by Booms View PostNeed new head phones for traveling. Best Buy has the noise making device, simulates an airplane, for the Bose. I would try the others standing in front of it as well.

I have a set of philips noise canceling headphone shn9500 that fold down into a semi hard case and fit in my laptop bag. I don't leave home with out them.Originally posted by Booms View PostI have gone through 2 sets of Shure in the last three years. I travel on average every other week. I agree the inner ears hurt my ears over time, but I loved the fact that they do not take up much space in my bag.
