I ran into an issue this weekend, as I drained the sac I noticed that the engine partition had come out of the guide. The guide had flipped out and the screws were pointing towards the sac. I got a little nervous but I think it is fine. I put the guide back but should I replace the screws with longer ones or just add more screws? There are only two in it.

I would add a few more screws and a little longer than stock. There are some pics or threads discussing the addition of reinforcement for the engine dividers. WAB added them to his boat, he's getting around to posting that part of the upgrades.

I recall people worried about the dividers bowing, just didn't remember anything about the guides. I am off to do some searching.

I never really liked slalom. I was able to do it, but it wasn't my thing. My brother and I got into barefooting in the early 90's and stuck with that until kneeboards and then finally "skurfers" came out.

I would move the screws so they make new holes and then reinforce the plastic guide with some alum L bracket.
