The test run of my buddies machine yesterday was quite impressive. He only loaded it with one bag of store bought ice, but it blew cool for 30 minutes. Need to use bog block ice, out of a deep freeze, not a convenience store walk-in.It's not an optical illusion.
It just looks like one.....

I knew it would work! I've had a process cooler that circulated chilled water through a exchanger. I remember was having to fine tune the flow rate and it worked great.Originally posted by philwsailz View PostThe test run of my buddies machine yesterday was quite impressive. I think there is much promise.... Consider anchoring out in a deep cove. Flip a valve and throw a hose over to near the bottom. Who needs ice when the unit can pump 40 - 50 deg. water?Originally posted by thtrog View PostI knew it would work! I've had a process cooler that circulated chilled water through a exchanger. The ultimate rig in my opinion would be a chest deep freeze permanenetly installed on the boat. In it is just a huge vessel of water-ice. When you are plugged in on shore power, the deep freeze makes ice. When you take off, you use the energy stored in the ice. Return to the dock? Plug in and re-charge...Originally posted by thtrog View PostI knew it would work! I've had a process cooler that circulated chilled water through a exchanger.
