If my wife liked driving or was not fearful I think that she would drive back to Utah on a regular basis. It is a long trip especially with the kids or alone.

she had a bad day she said she didn't want to go, she is mad that this happened in the summer she knows its going to take most of it to heal

If it will make her feel any better you can tell her that she is not alone. I may be lucky to do anything before next summer except drive, if I can do that.
