ask them for an itemised list of what they are going to perform. its perfectly acceptable whether yur having yor carpets cleaned or a root canal If they dont want you to know what they are doing for the $240 summarizing, question it.

If they are using automotive anti-freeze, then I would find a new service provider. Im no hippie tree-hugger, but deliberately polluting the environment is just stupid! You really cant get it all out of the system and think about if they are doing it for all their customers that boat on the same lake as you?

Wow, I just got done reading all the info on the bilge switch. Nice job of troubleshooting Chp! Skip, did you try reaching down into the bilge and pulling up on the float switch for the automatic operation? It has nothing to do with your switch problem but it's good to check that once in a while. I had to replace that switch once in my old boat, it was directly under the engine, huge PITA. That's when I realized why marine mechanics charge so much

I did try reaching down but I could not get anything to flip on. I thought I had read these do not have a switch. I double checked it and I do not believe they do, thus the reason to fill it with water. If you know of a switch or where it is at let me know. I thought that maybe the little blue thing was a button for a switch. I pressed it and nothing. It is a tight fit on that side of the boat. I didn't want to take all the blower stuff out and it doesn't look like it would hold up well if my arm dropped on it. I am hopeful that I get the new circuit breaker and all is well. Then it is just that pesky transom light that I will probably never use but be bugged by the fact that it does not turn on.

Just check out my engine compartment the other day. They have the moved the oil filter up to the side of the engine for easy access.
