Boats out of warranty in a few weeks. I will learn to do it all going forward. I'm still not sure why I'm paying $300.00 to have it summarized next week, I think they just suck out the anti-freeze and do some fluff service.Originally posted by robert theisen View PostAll the services are easy when your my size.It helps if your younger though.

The hardest part is getting the two side screw and locknuts off for the rear seat.BUT A taller person with longer arms shouldn't have any trouble.Originally posted by majestic View Post130. Mine has 30 w unit now. I just don't get the $240.00 if its that simple

My screws for the hatch have been off for well over a year. We have been looking for a small oil leak and have narrowed it to the top of the motor.Originally posted by robert theisen View PostThe hardest part is getting the two side screw and locknuts off for the rear seat.BUT A taller person with longer arms shouldn't have any trouble.

If the boat is winterized in the most efficient way, there is nothing to "summerize", other then doing a new impeller for those that choose to do this in the spring. Even then, every 2 years is fine.Originally posted by majestic View PostBoats out of warranty in a few weeks. I will learn to do it all going forward. If they use marine/rv antifreeze, there's nothing to remove and if antifreeze was used, then the plugs should be in and the boat should be turn-key spring ready
Thats how i do the few boats I winterize for friends.

No ducks in my garage. I guess if there were the 12 ga would resolve that problem and I would get dinner out of it. BTW I would be more concern with the geese around here. They are all over by the thousands, golf courses anyways. And the airportOriginally posted by robert theisen View PostDepends on whether or not a duck roosts on it for the night.

I did mine. I $10 dollar pump, I have used it for other things and could have gotten it at RT's favorite place Harbor Freight for $5, and 3 qts of SAE 30 (2 in the tranny and 1 in the V drive), from Wally World @ $3.87/each. 10 minutes tops, granted I already had my back seat off from doing the steering cable. PricelessOriginally posted by majestic View PostI am Not paying my dealer $240.00 to service v-drive and tranny. What do I need for this?
Do you have the access on your back seat, if not it will take a little time to take it out, not bad though?Last edited by skippabcool; 04-16-2011, 01:39 PM.
