One of the first cars I drove was a 79 Celica that had a bad alternator. I kept an old spare battery in the hatchback. I did that once in a bronco, I was fine until it got dark. Made it 380 miles outta 400. I pulled in between two semis after it got dark and rode between them till I ran outta juice

Yep, and its powering a 1500W inverter that runs my lap top, printer, light, soldering iron, drop light and fan.
