So far I like it. It has the 2.5L inline 5 gas engine with the 6 speed tiptronic. It's got an extended factory warranty so I'm not worried about the reliability issues you read about. I meet lots of guys at work with VWs and they all had nothing but good things to say. It stands to reason that people mostly complain on the Internet and not many give good reviews on the net. But car and drive like the Jetta so that's why I looked at one in the first place. It's big enough for us and has a surprisingly large trunk. The engine has lots of torque and it's quiet and handles the curves well.
