Go to the post office off-hours and ship using their Automated Postal Centers (self-serve kiosk thingies). At least you don't have do wait in line.

Reduce benefits. Good luck with that.

The other thing they should do is start charging first class postage rates for bulk mailers. That would either greatly increase their revenue, or reduce the amount of junk mail that marketers send. Seems like a win/win to me. (Of course, I wouldn't feel that way if I had a business that used bulk mail )
