Yeah, 30' is shallow for this lake, you have to work hard to find places less than 60'. But there is a little 10' deep section in the middle that fools some people. It goes from 180 to 10' in 1/2 mile.

That would FREAK me out. We run between 40 and as shallow as 7 or so... There is one spot sort of in the midle of our lake that clibs up quickly like that. Right now it goes from 20 to 3 in about 100 ft.... then back down to 15 or so on the other side... Just this ridge.... I have seen sailboats get stuck on it, and have seen powerboats get stuck if they trolled across off plane.. Luckily it is soft bottom, so no damage except for pride...

The water level changes quiet a bit over the years, here is the google satellite view. The water level is about 40-50 higher now than when this picture was taken so many of the islands are under water.

My daughter is here trying to get the screen on the laptop to scroll through the website like it does on my iPhone. She thinks the plasma is touch screen too. She tries to pinch/zoom and scroll on any screens with pictures. Ain't technology great. In 20 years she'll reminisce with her friends about the days when computers didn't have touch screens

I remember when we loaded computers from casette tapes. I also remember thining how cool it was that they came out with color ones that had pictures.

My first time on the net, we killed the pics in order to get pages to load. Text only; pics made it SLOW....
