Ewok, I've seen someone post something similar to that on TO before.

I pulled that pic from that post, it was about his shackles reversing when the trailer was empty, not exactly the same situation. I was just perplexed as to why it started to lean forward on the trailer and unlevel the shackles. When I jacked up the tongue the shackles leveled out, but I had 2000 miles of towing where this was not an issue. Just wondering if the knowledgeable and verbose whores here hand any similar issues pop up.

I was driving home today and noticed on some rough roads a vibration on the trailer. When I pulled over I noticed the top of the shackle on the leaf spring was resting on the bump stop on the frame of the trailer. I had towed the boat over 2000 miles now and this is the first time I've seen it do it. I watch the trailer in the mirrors all the time and that's how I noticed it, but I never noticed it before.

Below is not my picture but I posted it to show the top of the leaf spring shackle. When I got the boat back to the house I jacked up the tongue with the trailer Jack and the spring shackles seem level now. I plan to get a hitch with a 3" lift on the ball to tow the boat in the future but has anyone had his sort of problem before?

Ewok, I use this hitch and have good luck with it when I swittch it between the wifes expedition and my F150
