I can't sleep, my wife just sent me up in the attic because she heard something. Good thing she did the ac drain trap was stopped up and there was water dripping.

They were headed home to buy a board, they had only tried it once behind a bu with no ballast and they did not like it. He said that wake was nothing like mine and we could not get his VLX to produce a good surf wake either. I told him I would get some notes from ET.

It will surf...we've not really surfed much, but have a few times this summer. Here's how we set it up - full bow and belly ballast, fill up the factory on your surf side. Depending on number of people we've put 450 or 750 extra on the surf side hatch with speed 10.4 to 10.8 and no wedge. From what I've heard you won't find a better out-of-box surf wake than the Z1 and we feel the same about the wakeboarding wake of the VLX. Surfing was zero consideration in our boat purchase.
