I think mine reads probably about 5 degrees high. At least, compared to the National Weather Service floating stations on Mead.Originally posted by ajholt7 View PostDoes anyone else's water temp gauge seem to read much warmer than the actual temp?
My gas gauge reads 98% for most of the day. Once is starts to drop below 98%, then I think I have less than 1/2 tank. I really should look into getting a fuel flow meter installed. One of these days I'm afraid I will run out on the way back to the ramp.Originally posted by Iwndr View PostMine seems to be accurate, I have the heater also so you can feel it also. I do not think my gas gauge is very accurate though
Yeah - same reasons my dealer explained for their unreliability. The tank is only about 6-inches deep, but really long. The gauge itself is about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way toward the aft end of the tank. Leads to bad readings.Originally posted by philwsailz View Postnever trust those. Shape of the tank, running angle, any lean to either side... A boat's gas gauge is less accurate than the average weatherman....
