Understand I am rural with no DSL. 3G tethering is my fastest AND cheapest option at the house.

because you can no longer get unlimited plans on ATT, you pay 15 for 200mb or 25 for 2Gig. 10 more for an extra gig.

and then you pay 20 extra to be allowed to use tethering. so for 2 gig of data you poay 45 dollars. Not sure about you, but that's a scam in my book.

I mean I used 3 gig on my iphone and 4 gig on my iPad and that was not counting the wifi I used with either at my house?

Just curious that is all. Have you looked at sprints 4g mifi they call it?

I just looked - Sprint doesn't have 4G in OK yet. I was wondering about it for Phil because a friend got the HTC Evo last Friday and loves it so far.

It just pisses me off with AT&T in that you now have to pay for each byte you bring down or upload. why charge you 20 bucks just to get to use it for your comp? Your already paying for it. Now if they still had unlimited data plans I see the point in paying the 20 dollars. heck i'd probably do it since I could drop my ipad charge, and my internet at home, and save money, but they don't so forget it.
