That is crap. Now that they all (other than Southwest) charge for checked baggage, everyone is carrying on bags that really don't fit into the overhead compartment. I'm sure that's why they are doing this...they're losing revenue by fewer people checking bags! I think this is a stupid thing to do, but to be honest, I hate it when I see people getting on the plane with bags that are really too big to fit overhead...
