Im lost without the PW thread!!!!

I knew I would F up by not marking the battery cables. Which battery does the auto bilge go to?

Didn't get much accomplished today. I looked for the capacitors to stop the popping but couldn't find any local. Radio Shack had some just not the right ones. Found some online, cost more to ship than for the part. Will look Monday around Denver.

I really wish I could have figured out what is causing it.

In my previous system I had the pop when adjusting the taps plate. The stereo shop installed a noise filter and it went away. I took it out when I installed the new system I will look and see if I still have it and if I do I will send it to you.

Anyone ever change one of these bulbs? You can't get much grip on the bulb. I'm assuming you have to remove the whole assembly which will require re- caulking it back to the hull.

I guess you don't remove them from the inside?

Is the two screws on the front just for a face plate?

Nope. I can't find those bulbs anymore either. All I can find are LED's

In searching to help you it was suggested to replace them with LED's.

What changed so you don't need it?

I'm not sure to be honest my previous system was a mess of 4 gauge to each amp off the battery and my new system has 0 gauge running to a distro block and 4 gauge running to all the amps. It's just much cleaner now.

I'm ok with that I just didn't want to have to remove the whole assembly and seal it back on. I can see it being like those big bulb Christmas lights that won't come out and you end up breaking them and have to remove the rest with pliers. I never used to do evening boating but having the boat at the lake now I want to keep my options open.
