You can drive to the main gate but not much to see. Glendo is a nice lake but if you want to go to Sandy Beach, it's like 30 minutes of driving from the stupid gate. The wife and kids get all excited because they think you are there and then have to drive through the cow pasture and around the twisty roads.Originally posted by skippabcool View PostDr, do you know if I can get into Glendo to look around without having to pay anything?

Pretty rocky when it's full and then dirt/mud when it's not. It's not that pretty of a lake, maybe about 5 trees around the whole thing. The beauty of Grayrocks is that you get your own private lake for free. No park fees, people, amenities, shade or anything for miles.

You need to check out Alcova some day and 10miles further is PathfinderOriginally posted by Timmy! View PostIf Glendo is full, that's the place to go. The canyon there is gorgeous! I've been there 4 times I think. Guernsey is nice too, just not as nice as Glendo. Alcova looks nice, will definitely check that out someday. Seminoe is all sand, better have some good tires on the truck!"Failing to prepare is preparing to fail" John Wooden- Rest in Peace

I am always surprised that diesel costs more than gasoline. Is it due to extra EPA style taxes on diesel? My understanding was that diesel is less refined than gasoline. Less processing should mean less cost, correct?Originally posted by Timmy! View PostEwok, the price of diesel and gas are pretty close now and that's the only reason I was interested in the diesels. It's a gamble...
I did that comparison last year just after I got my Jetta. I forgot what the price of gas and diesel were then but it was close to a 50-60 cent difference then. I still think if you drive a lot and your in it for the long haul, diesel is the way to go. I got my car used off the lot because I got hit and the insurance company totaled my car and I needed something descent and quick. If I were to order a Jetta or have more than a week to find a car I would go with the diesel Jetta too.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.
