It is because of the water table. Half of the city of Sturgis drains through our back yard. The city has pumps running pumping the water to the other side of the flood wall. They had it all pumped out yesterday. This is results of overnight rain with nowhere to go. It has stopped raining now, but there is more in the forecast.Originally posted by Iwndr View PostComment

Sure wish I could get some of your rain, and I know you would be happy to send it our way. I need about 4 feet in my lake to get the level high enough to get a sailboat in, and for ANY boat not to hit stumps and other debrisIt's not an optical illusion.
