For those that have the factory EIDB system or know them, should the batteries be the same, different, doesn't matter? The manual states that both batteries can be charged but it charges the weaker one first. Is it know how long it takes to charge them? If I am running stock items, stereo, amps, speakers, etc... is there a reason to have an on board charger?

I don't have the factory EIDB system but I believe you want the same type of batteries, such as Lead-acid or gel, but not necessarily the same batteries. It is always a good idea to have an on-board charger.

mine came with two interstate starting batteries, when I change them out ill get one deep cycle and one starting and a onboard charger would be handy
