what did you do? clean your headlights?

Yup, then I sanded and buffed them to clarity, see above

The kit starts off with 500 grit, then 800 grit, then 3000 grit wetsand, then rubbing compound. In before the 3000 grit I added 1000 grit wetsand, then 2000 grit wetsand, then after the rubbing compound I used Meguires plastic cleaner/polish.

That makes sense - I wonder why they jumped from 800 to 3000? Kind of weird. How much was the kit?
