Whats the voltage level on the distri-block?Originally posted by bryce2320 View PostI got the amp rack in the boat this morning, all wired up ready to mount. I turned the key on, and the new CMD6 radio comes on, but the amps wouldnt turn on, but the ws-420 did. So I cut the wires and just hooked one syn4 to the remote wire of the HU. Still nothing. I called Chp and he thought a relay would fix the problem. I figured the damn HU would at least turn on 1 amp so I must have a bigger problem

Relay was my guess to when I called Chp. But since I cut the remotes apart. and just tried to get one amp to get a green light, and it wouldnt makes me think its something else.Originally posted by Bruizza View PostRelay is my guess too Bryce. My brother had a hell of a time getting all his amps to turn on until he put in a relay.Ain't no 1/2 steppin'

If the head will not turn on only one amp wired to the turn-on, then a relay is not the solution. Sounds like the battery voltage is too low or there is no voltage or ground to the amps. He has a distri-block with a volt gauge, so that will tell us something.Originally posted by Bruizza View PostRelay is my guess too Bryce. The head unit was on, and the ws-420 lit up for starters, and no amps got a light. So after we got off the phone, I cut the wires apart, and wired 1 syn4 to the remote turn on and still nothing from the amp, although the HU was onOriginally posted by chpthril View PostIf the head will not turn on only one amp wired to the turn-on, then a relay is not the solution. distro was saying 12.4 voltsOriginally posted by chpthril View PostIf the head will not turn on only one amp wired to the turn-on, then a relay is not the solution. Thats more then enough for the Syn-4's to power up. I would get a volt meter right on the amps battery lugs and measure the B+, GND and the voltage level of the turn-on wire.Originally posted by bryce2320 View Postdistro was saying 12.4 voltsMikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

I will do that first thing tomorrow and see what I come up with. How many watts should the remote show to get it to turn on?Originally posted by chpthril View PostThats more then enough for the Syn-4's to power up.
