Not the best close up. With a sharp razor, cut through the silicone down to the strip about 1/8" back from the cut end to expose the 2 gold dots. If you look close, one is marked with a + and the other with a -. A few tricks: smaller the wire the easier to solder. Also use smallest gauge rosin solder you can get. Make sure the iron is hot before putting it to the wire and strip. Ypu dont want to heat the strip any more then need to melt the solder and get a good joint. Once the wires are soldered and cooled, I test with a 9V battery. After that, I put on a 3/4" length of 1/4" heat shrink so it shrinks down covering the cut end of the silicone.
