He's a crack headOriginally posted by bryce2320 View PostTrukaotic over on WW brought out the idea of putting a sub in the passenger side storage locker and popping the hatch at party cove, and even driving around it would just be a boat shaker which is kind of up my alley

Hay, seriously, did you really pay $55 for that Tsunami fised block with meter from Sonic-E?Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

If David advised against it he was right and had reason to based on the info he had. IIRC, that was before you had a sub under the helm.Originally posted by bryce2320 View PostPretty much what I was wanting to do last summer and David talked me out of
The jist is, its a waste to place the primary (or single sub) in an enclosed compartment. As a secondary sub, it will be a boat shaker with no loss of musicality. A free-air 10 under helm radiating directly out into the cabin is better then any 12 in a ported enclosure with 1000W thats closed up.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Where are you running the dials on the WS-420? Make sure you're not putting in too much of treble (the last two dials).Originally posted by bryce2320 View PostHigh pass and I think around 80 after they got broke in. I had 2 10's in a ported enclosure in the passenger compartment and you had to crack the door to get anything out of it.Originally posted by chpthril View PostIf David advised against it he was right and had reason to based on the info he had. IIRC, that was before you had a sub under the helm.

Exactly. It takes so much energy to drive them when closed up. They do make the boat shake, but a lot of the music is lost due to the insulation.Originally posted by majestic View PostI had 2 10's in a ported enclosure in the passenger compartment and you had to crack the door to get anything out of it.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

And what I mean by single is your only sub you have in the boat.Originally posted by chpthril View PostIf David advised against it he was right and had reason to based on the info he had. IIRC, that was before you had a sub under the helm.
