What age did he start? I've had my 4 yo on snow skis since she was 2 and I just had her up wakesurfing doubles for the first time this summer. Did you use a boom to get him up the first time? I'm thinking about getting a boom.Originally posted by houstonshark View PostHe just turned 5.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

He did. It surprised him a little at first but he kept attacking it. He's very comfortable and seems to never get tired!Originally posted by MoneyPity View PostI bet Madden had fun gettin aair. For a five year old he loooks relaxed. I woulsd say you are a proud dad.

He's been wakeboarding for a little over 3 months. We tried last year pulling him up out of the water but it just wasn't working.Originally posted by Ewok View PostWhat age did he start? He rode twice on a set of EZ Ski's and said he was ready to wakeboard. He got up his 3rd or 4th try with my wife in the water helping him get up. It took 2-3 trips for him to really start getting it.
Don't waste your time or money on a boom unless you want them to barefoot. Get some EZ Ski's and encourage the kids to play on the wakeboards as much as possible. Give them a handle and pull them around in the grass. Both of my boys can Ollie my board and get it completely off the ground.
Skateboards are good for balance but require a lot of assistance on your part. A Razor scooter is really good as well.
