I had that happen once. Hit a big dip at an intersection and the boat trailer popped off. The tongue wheel just rolled up so the boat just kept rolling. We were going slow enough through the intersection that we looked to our left and the boat was passing us! Hit the brakes and were able to catch the boat on foot (barefoot). Tried to stop it as it started down a Winn Dixie parking lot toward the store. It didn't make it as a new Cutlass got in the way. Boat ended up on top of the car. 1966 Glastron was light enough to lift back on the trailer. A few gouges on the boat bow and a bent tongue that cost 27.00 to replace. Cutlass was not so lucky. 37 years ago I was not smart enough to have chains on the trailer. Sure wouldn't pull without them now. Sure was a sick feeling to look over and see your boat passing you by.Originally posted by bryce2320 View PostHad a nightmare last night that woke me up 10,minutes b4 my alarm went off. My boat and trailer wasn't latched and popped off my hitch and landed in the ditch
